Payments built for AI apps
Credit packs, usage billing, subscriptions, license keys — with VAT, GST, and sales tax filed worldwide. Creem is the Merchant of Record that treats AI products as the main act, not an edge case.
AI apps monetize with Creem
Image generators, video tools, agents, chatbots — over a thousand AI products use Creem to charge for what their models create, in every market their users live in.
Charge for tokens, seats, or both
GPU time isn't a flat monthly cost — your billing shouldn't be either. Mix the models your product actually needs.
Credit packs
Sell prepaid credit bundles backed by a first-party credits ledger API: credit, debit, and reverse balances with idempotency keys, freeze accounts, and audit every movement.
Usage-based billing
Meter what your product consumes — generations, tokens, render minutes — and bill against prepaid balances, so you never eat a GPU bill a customer didn't fund.
Subscriptions
Recurring plans with trials, per-seat pricing with unit multipliers, configurable proration on plan changes, and pause/resume endpoints — all in the API.
You ship the model. We handle the rest.
The unglamorous half of selling software, built in from day one.
Sell software, not spreadsheets
Issue, activate, and revoke license keys with every purchase — built for desktop apps, plugins, and self-hosted AI tools. No homegrown key server required.
VAT, GST, and sales tax — calculated, collected, filed, remitted.
- Worldwide tax compliance included in the 3.9%, not an add-on
- Chargebacks and compliance documentation handled for you
- A documented compliance path for AI wrappers and GPT-based products
Built for what you're building
Whatever your model generates, the billing primitives are already here.
AI image generators
Sell credit packs per generation, screen prompts with the Moderation API before the GPU spins, and let Creem file the taxes on every image sold worldwide.
AI video tools
Price by render minutes or clips with metered billing on prepaid credits — high-ticket generations, moderated prompts, and chargebacks handled for you.
Agents & chatbots
Charge subscriptions or usage for your agent — and let it wire up its own billing: point a coding agent at creem.io/SKILL.md and payments land in one prompt.
Questions, answered
What is a Merchant of Record (MoR)?
A Merchant of Record is the legal entity that sells to the end customer. With Creem as your MoR, we are the seller of record for every transaction: we calculate, collect, file, and remit VAT, GST, and sales tax worldwide, and we take on chargebacks, refunds, and regulatory compliance. You build the product; we carry the liability.
How do credit packs work on Creem?
You sell prepaid credit bundles, and Creem keeps the ledger: a first-party credits API lets you credit, debit, and reverse balances with idempotency keys, freeze accounts, and audit every movement. Your app checks and burns credits per generation or API call — ideal for billing LLM tokens, image generations, or render minutes.
Who handles VAT, GST, and sales tax on my sales?
We do. As the Merchant of Record, Creem calculates and collects the right tax at checkout, then files and remits it in 130+ countries as part of the standard 3.9% + 40¢ fee. There's no tax add-on to enable and no registrations for you to maintain.
When do I get paid?
Payouts are processed on the 1st and 15th of each month to your bank account. Stablecoin (USDC) payouts follow the same schedule, for fast payouts anywhere in the world.
Can I migrate from Stripe or another processor?
Yes. Most developers integrate Creem in under 10 minutes with the API or TypeScript SDKs — or point a coding agent at creem.io/SKILL.md and let it do the integration in one prompt. Our team helps import your existing customers and subscriptions so the switch doesn't disrupt your revenue.
Are AI wrappers and GPT-based products welcome?
Yes — AI products are Creem's core vertical. We publish an explicit compliance path for AI wrapper businesses covering branding, transparency, and moderation requirements, and our Moderation API screens prompts before generation so you can meet those requirements without building your own filters.
Ship the model. We'll bill for it.
Integrate in minutes — or send your coding agent to do it. Taxes are our problem either way.
